Juneteenth Celebration - Black Owned Business Fiar

The Greensburg-Jeannette Branch NAACP, which is celebrating its 70 th Anniversary in
2025, has organized a Juneteenth Celebration and a Fair highlighting Black-Owned
Businesses in Central Westmoreland County that will be held on Thursday, June 19,
2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Historic Fairview Park, located at 544 East
Pittsburgh Street, Delmont, PA 15626. The NAACP will have an information table with
membership applications and voter registration forms.
The Historic Fairview Park was developed in 1945. It is located off Route 22 in Salem
Township. The park is the location for this event. FREE admission. There will be food
trucks, speakers, entertainment, games, line-dancing, and much more.
Juneteenth is typically celebrated with red velvet cake and red soda. June 19, 1865, is
the date enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned that they were free.
Juneteenth is now a Federal Holiday. It will be a day of education, reflection, cultural
appreciation, and hope.
