Position Overview 

The Greensburg Community Development Corporation (GCDC) seeks a dynamic, missiondriven professional to lead integrated community engagement and development efforts that strengthen Greensburg’s economic vitality. This role supports strategic economic development with community relationship-building, marketing and communications, event leadership, and operational coordination. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position advances business growth, downtown revitalization, stakeholder engagement, fundraising support, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities 

Main Street Strategic Initiatives

 • Support execution of strategic initiatives aligned with GCDC’s mission and the Main Street approach to economic development.

 • Assist with business outreach, retention, and expansion efforts.

 • Support downtown activation, placemaking, and revitalization initiatives.

 • Serve as an ambassador for GCDC, fostering relationships with businesses and community partners. 

Community Engagement & Relationship Building

 • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, residents, volunteers, donors, and local organizations.

 • Design and implement engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals and community needs.

 • Gather community feedback to refine programs and initiatives.

 • Cultivate strategic partnerships to expand organizational reach and impact.

 • Collaborate with and promote other community partners’ events as appropriate. 

Events & Programming

 • Lead planning and execution of GCDC events and fundraising initiatives, including coordination of vendors & volunteers, sponsorship fulfillment, and site management

 • Conduct post-event evaluation and impact reporting.

 • Maintain donor records and sponsorship tracking.

 • Assist in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities tied to initiatives Marketing & Communications

 • Support development and execution of marketing and outreach strategies.

 • Create and manage social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and website updates.

 • Develop storytelling content highlighting impact and community growth. Administrative & Operational Support

 • Provide administrative and project support to the Executive Director.

 • Prepare reports, board materials, and presentations.

 • Maintain organized systems for records, contracts, tracking donors and sponsor

 • Assist with budget tracking and operational work plans 

Qualifications

 • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred. Or 2-year degree in a similar discipline with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role

 • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and people skills

 • Experience in digital communications platforms.

 • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 • Experience in event planning and execution preferred
