About the Role

As the Community Relations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in expanding our community impact. You'll be the face of Pheple FCU in local outreach efforts—liaising with nonprofits, schools, businesses, faith-based groups, and city officials to foster long-term relationships. You will be responsible for increasing the awareness of the credit union in diverse communities. Your work will help increase awareness of our financial services and enhance the lives of the people we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

• *Community Outreach (50%)
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, faith communities, employers, educational institutions, and civic leaders.
• *Public Presentations (40%)
• Design and deliver engaging presentations to promote Pheple FCU’s mission, products, and services at community events and public forums.

Additional Duties:

• *Some evenings will be required based on scheduled events, as well as frequent travel within our community (Allegheny, Armstrong, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties) for meetings, events and outreach initiatives.
• *Serve as an informal liaison with government entities and community partner organizations.
• *Support other duties as needed to further the Credit Union’s outreach goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• *Experience: 1–3 years in community relations, nonprofit work, education, or customer service.
• *Education: High school diploma or GED.
• *Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships across diverse groups.
• *Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• *Work Style: Self-starter with strong time management skills and a hybrid work mindset.
