Transitional Housing Supervisor

We are looking for our new Transitional Housing Supervisor. As Supervisor, you will manage mental health housing programs and supervise housing specialists. You will provide guidance to housing specialists and assist transitional tenants toward housing self-sufficiency. You will accomplish this by:

  • Training, mentoring, and providing feedback to housing specialists,
  • Developing and implementing training manuals and operating procedures,
  • Ensuring program compliance by regularly auditing files,
  • Meeting with tenants one-on-one to develop service plan goals and assist them in accomplishing those goals,
  • Provide housing support to tenants including move-in, safety inspection, and submitting maintenance requests, and
  • Responding to crisis situations effectively and professionally.

We (Westmoreland Community Action) are a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing, counseling, support, education, intervention, collaborations, partnerships, information, referrals, and networking.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human service field, preferably mental health field.
  • Prior work or internship in human service related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the needs of persons with mental health disabilities.
  • Experience in providing long-term housing to persons with mental health disabilities.
  • Experience in administering and complying with state and/or federal government funded programs budget requirements and/or regulations preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background check, and sex offender registry clearances.
  • Valid driver's license required and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability car insurance.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule within a 40-hour workweek.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft suite.

Annual income depending on experience: $41,392.00 – $45,302.00. This position is paid hourly and is non-exempt.
